Now What?

I have been working on the textbook Native American Voices for almost two years and now it is done. What a sense of relief, but now what???

Well, I have started a new consulting business Homahota Consulting. I am very excited about this adventure and have had great response locally.  I start with my first client next week!

Mailing the Manuscript Off

Today, I finally mailed off the last of the Native American Voices manuscript to Prentice Hall.  Yeah!  Each of my co-editors (Susan Lobo and Steve Talbot) and I had differing responsibilities in terms of the final submission of the manuscript.  My job was to inventory the art/photos and create what the publisher called the art/photo manuscript using hard copies of the works and creating a physical inventory of the image and the location in the text.  I am happy to have it done.  When I was looking through correspondence about the textbook, I realized we have been at this revision for a year now!  It is a relief to be done. Although, we do expect revisions.

Prepping the Manuscript for Submission

This is the final week of manuscript preparations on the Native American Voices textbook.  This week it is off to Prentice-Hall! It has been a lot of work and I am still knee deep in editing the art portion of the manuscript.  However, the hard copies of both the art manuscript and the entire manuscript, as well as electronic copies will be sent on Friday!!!
