Traci L. Morris

Traci L. Morris, a member of the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma, has a PhD in American Indian Studies and is the owner of Homahota Consulting .

Her background includes working with tribal communities  Nationally and in Arizona.  In addition, she has 9 years of teaching experience and has taught at such fine institutions as Eastern Oklahoma University, University of Arizona, and Arizona State University

Morris is a co‐editor along with Susan Lobo and Steve Talbot on the popular college textbook Native American Voices: A Reader released by Prentice‐Hall in October of 2009.

Traci’s professional work experience in is not limited to education and community services, as she has also worked in the arts, in several museums and galleries, including internships at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian at the George Gustav Heye Center in lower Manhattan and the Arizona State Museum. She worked for Tucson’s oldest Native American Art Gallery, Bahti Indian Arts, as manager and buyer at Bahti Indian Arts.
